Dumb-ass question of the day:

Why in the HELL don’t snack vending machines take pennies???

Huh? HUH?

I think it’s a conspiracy against ME because they undoubtedly KNOOOOOW that I have like…elem-teen THOUSAND and TWO pennies just floating around in my damn purse for the using! I routinely have soooo many pennies in various places that if I totaled them up I could buy me & my husband a nice dinner with it!

I haaaaaaate them damn pennies! They end up on the floor, floating under seats and on top of dressers and since they are the "coin of lesser value", they usually end up wrangling around in the dryer.....and assorted other places or in jars where they collect dust.

Since I am not a “pennie casher” that rolls the pennies and all that, I guess I just need to take them to the grocery store and throw ‘em in the Coinstar machine!

But I swear, life would be a little sweeter if machines took pennies! Hell, MOST stuff in the vending machines ONLY cost less than a dang dollar!!!! Oh, but wait, I just had a vision…..little old ladies standing in front of the vending machines putting them in one…..by one…..by painful one. I would turn gray just waiting for my turn.

On second thought, I’mma go roll some pennies or take em to the bank or Coinstar.

Smell ya later.

LMAO...Too funny... Do what I do. Get a big mop bucket and throw those pennies in it... I cashed in $80.00 worth of pennies once at the CoinStar machine!! They do add up, don't they?

No we don't need penny vending machines! My grandma would love that, though!! LOL

Follow Lady Lee's lead. I do the same. In the beginning of every year, I get huge empty water container and I toss my change in it. At the end of the year I buy myself something nice. I even put in dimes, nickles and quarters too. It's a good way of saving money. Then you take it the Coinstar machine (I LOVE THEM!) and cash it in! I saved for two years straight and I bought furniture and a hammock for my backyard.

I am with you on all the pennies I have floating around. Hell they get in the way, and who has time to roll all them sucker's up?

I remember watching somewhere that pennies account for millions of dollars in waste and lost revenue to companies every year. If it weren't for the Congressional district that produces the metal, I'm quite sure we would have ditched the penny as a unit of currency by now.

And yeah, what a pain. Time to get you a roller and spend those junks in 50 cent increments.

Reminds me of another question I had to ask lately:

Who in the heck taught my 2 yr old nephew to go through my change jar and leave only pennies?!?

Okay, this is so crazy. I was JUST watching Clark Howard (a consumer advocate here in GA for those who don't know)and he said "NEVER SPEND YOUR CHANGE!!!" if you pay for something and it's $3.01 don't hunt for a penny, use $4.00 and throw ALL your change in some sort of receptacle (I use an old water cooler bottle) and only count it at the end of the year... and use it for something big. One woman was saying she uses her change to take little weekend trips every year, another was saying she used hers for Christmas shopping. I've paid whole credit card bills off... it's crazy how much MONEY you will have at the end of the year in change. And Coinstar is the SHIT!!! =)))
