The return of Tendentious Thursdays!

What the hell is wrong with this guy???

Living Ken Doll

This guy is just toooo much for me ya’ll
Read the story Here

See….this is when you have waaaaaaaaaay too much “disposable income” and when you have waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much time on your hands. This clown had pec implants (hmm……looks like tits to me), chin implants, BICEP implants (dude! Are you serious???), and a cleft chin to name a few things he had done.

Why do white folks (and some black folks) feel the need to go to the ridiculous extreme to keep youth?!! I mean, I am not against a lil lipo or a lil tummy tuck or a lil nose job, but PLEASE, for the love of ALL that’s NOT plastic and filled with saline, DON’T get like 20 things changed on your body!

Now, see, me, I have had plastic surgery too. *Gaaaaaaasp* Yes, I have. I had a breast reduction in 1994. Hey I just had my 11th anniversary!!! (shut the HELL UP ZED…. I ALLLLLLLLREADY know your thoughts on this!) But I had plastic surgery to help decrease the boob-a-licious-ness that was outta-fuckin-control. What size was I pre-op??? don’t know, but I do know that them thangs were OUT.OF CONTROL and I hated the attention. It was horrible. I felt like a freakshow and I felt disrespected when men I didn’t know from Al on the corner felt it necessary to exclaim "GotDAMN baby, you got some big ass titties!!!!!". Today, however, I am perfectly content with the attention that the "girls" get, and though NOTHING like they were, I catch an ogle here and there *smile* and that's perfectly fine with me. So, I'm lovin plastic surgery too!

Anywho…back to the lecture at hand….I just felt compelled to put this picture up man! Is there ever really a need for plastic surgery??? Listen, me & a co-worker of mine were talking about another co-worker who we think NEEDS plastic surgery (she is in DESPERATE need of a facelift.) She is a cute, jazzy grandma of 2, just recently lost weight (is a size 4) and has a spunky haircut. The problem? She looks like she is 61 or 62 and she is only 49.

Now, I am not usually a super strong advocate of plastic surgery, BUT…..she looks old and it just doesn’t make any sense. She needs a facelift and I mean NOW! But some (as we can see above) just take it tooooo far! Period!

Now, this may sounds contradictory, but all beauty fades and when you have to go to the lengths above to get that level of “perfect/flawlessness”…… you have gone too far…….

Vanity……my favorite Deadly Sin……. :-)

It's funny. I don't even remember what you looked like before the breast reduction.

*rifles through old photo album*

Oh, yeah! Huey and Dewey! Outta sight...outta mind.

I'm still on the original question. What's wrong with that guy? I am still not convinced that's a guy. Anyway, I've never been a big fan of cosmetic surgery. I'm all about making the most of what you were given . Then again, I could be in the minority in this.

^^^5 on the breast reduction, I had one last year, too. Best decision I ever made!!! They took out 9 FREAKIN LBS... that's a fat newborn. I still have some gunz, too... but they're proportional. Goodbye shoulder & neck pain, goodbye shoulder grooves... life is wonderful with what I have now.

@eclectic: Girl ! Yes, they took out approx. 8.5 pds from mine! And I used the SAME.DAMN.ANALOGY that you did! That's BIG ASS baby!!! Good LAWD! And I too STILL have PLEEEEENTY up there! But as you said they are soooo much more proportional. Hallelujah! :-)

Robyn I agree with you big time. Now here's my theory.
Yeah, people can do what they want with their money but I figure work with what you got and if you don't have it, you didn't need it in the first place. I am totally against plastic surgery unless it's to help burned or accident victims. But when you just take a bunch of money like these celebrities and spend millions just because you don't want to see a wrinkle than that's just plain stupid to me. Now a days regular people are doing it too and they just look ridiculous. Why would you want to look like some plastic doll? That man needs some help PERIOD and I think the doctor who agreed to do this should be fired because anyone should realize this man has a mental problem. When people reconstruct their bodies like this, it's a sign that they are crazy. I definitely don't agree with it. I am a big fan of Janet and Michael Jackson but realized they were sick and had issues when they started having all that surgery. I feel sorry for these people because they don't have enough self respect to be happy with what they were given. I don't see the point in surgery because all it means is that you're nothing but fake. And Janet and Michael both looked a hundred times better before they started having surgery. The whole damn Jackson family has had surgery, even Tito! And not to mention Joan Rivers...my goodness! Everyone is going to get old. You just have to deal with it.

People are taking this stuff to far. It's okay to do something to make your health better but to change who God made you is going too far....

Good Post, Robyn, and I often thought about this subject myself.

A lot of what is going on with plastic surgery has to do with just going along with what society dictates. I'm willing to bet if a couple of these major celebirties out here had their noses shifted to the right and painted sky blue, then a lot of common folk would do it... hence the new fad...

Some people need to have plastic surgery, for whatever reason... but when it becomes the popular thing to do?... disgusting...

It's also a condition luv. There are folks out there that are strung out and addicted to cosmetic surgery taking it as far as the one dude who changed his entire appearance to appear as human sized cat! I lie to you not. The Discovery channel did a job on exposing him, although that's a strong word since he's very extroverted about showing the world how he really looks.

i can definiely believe the addiction to cosmetic surgery, especially if one has low self-esteem. he looks a mess, though.

The funniest about these folks who run out and get "plastic" surgery is that their walking around all highly flammeable and what not..... remember what happen to Michael back when he did that Coca-Cola commercial!

I wouldn't have plastic surgery. I'll just work with what God gave me. If I were unfortunately unattractive, then I guess I'd consider it... Good post!

ewww, he looks like a blow-up sex doll for gay men. just pry open his mouth and...well, you get the idea.

i just couldn't do it. i've toyed with the idea of lipo but i've seen how much pain those people are in. have you seen mtv's "i want a famous face"? horrible what people go through just to be like someone else. i know it's society's standards to be beautiful, but there's a fine line between beautiful and artificial.

ask lil kim...cause she's straddlin it.
